Good Friday

Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the LORD laid on him
the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word.
He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.
And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away.
No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream.
But he was struck down
for the rebellion of my people.
Isaiah 53:4-8 (NLT)

Good Friday is here. Once again, I thank God for my salvation. I thank Him that He sent his one and only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for my sins.

I thank Jesus for obeying the call. No matter how much humiliation and pain He received, He didn't said a word: he could have given up the call and tell His Father in heaven that He wanted to go back to heaven. After all, He is God and He had the power to do so.

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
Hebrews 12:2 (NLT)

In the end, Jesus still finished the work on the cross. I heard Him speak to me, “My child, the cross I shall endure, for you are the joy that was set before me.”

My friends, let's be thankful for what He has done, and let's not hold back this gift of love from anyone. Even as we remember Good Friday, let us also take this opportunity to share with others about the Savior's love.

Jesus loves you and He wants you to take that step of faith to let Him into your life. Will you take this simple step of faith to invite Him into your life?
