New year's resolution

Happy new year everyone!! As we embark to this new year, with a new season and spirit, I just want to share with you this devotion which I read on 2010, December 28, titled our daily bread. The content of this devotion is somehow related to this post I am typing out today.

It stated: As you think back over this past year, why not write down the significant events in your life. Don’t be afraid to include your difficulties and disappointments, but remember to consider all the ways God has been with you. (The year in review)

Then I was thinking: why not I try to think back on what I have achieved and failed through the last year, 2010??

I listed:

Awesome events I've gone through
1) Preached the gospel... 2 saved!! One of them was baptised..
2) Changed the persepective of one of my Christian friend.. Saw His faith lifted up after our conversation!!
3) Started this blog... ( ok its started in August 2009... However... Genuine Christian posts was started only this year!!)
4) Started to really engage in Christian stuffs: Christian songs, devotionals blog..
5) Baptism of the Holy Spirit... Got the assurance of God's presence which lessens my doubt about God..

Setbacks, difficulties, and disappointments
1) Doubted in God's power.. Because of problems and closed doors..
2) Not many of my friends that i preached was saved... Faced lots of rejections..
3) Some of my friends initially wanted to come for the youth service that I was attending, but in the end backed out..
4) Could not come for net and Edge service

So.. after all the listing.. I suggested my new year's resolution:
1) Let my faith in God continuously increase
2) Spend more time in prayer
3) Hoping for opened doors
Etc, etc, etc...

I caught sight of a verse:
'Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.'
Romans 8:5
Therefore, another one of my resolution for this year, is to have more Godly desires.. Because God is living in me!! :)

To everyone.. Happy new year!! And start to set your new year's resolution for 2011...
Maybe, when you start to wake up on 1st January, every year, start to ask God:
What is your new year's resolution for me this year??
AND...
What is your new calling for me this year??
May God bless you this coming year ahead!! :D

True meaning of Christmas

by Saturday, December 25, 2010

A song that I like, played during Christmas

'And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, " Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."
Luke 2:8-11

Christmas is Jesus's birthday, a time where families gather to celebrate the beginning of a next year. The concept of joyous, openings of presents. I sometimes wonder: is Christmas really all about opening of presents? Or is Christmas even the time of presents?

How did people even get this misconception that Christmas is all about presents, Santa, Rudolph, and Christmas tree? When did this concept even started? Actually, Christmas is all about JESUS!! The time when our king was born. In reality, we, as Christians, celebrate Christmas to remember God's love for us, why He sent His son: for our salvation!

This year's Christmas, let's celebrate it, bearing the true meaning of this joyous occassion in our hearts, because of Christmas, our salvation is here. Do not forget that the lost are yet to be saved. C'mon people let's celebrate Christmas with the spirit of truth and let someone know about the true meaning of Christmas and let them be saved this Christmas!! Be abundantly blessed! :D

The Battle

by Thursday, December 09, 2010
Photobucket

There is a battle between Jesus and the devil, for our faith. When we accept Jesus as our Lord, we are claiming victory for Him, which means that the devil loses the battle. Feeling angry, the devil will attempt to steal our faith, wanting to bring us back to him. To continue to win victory for Christ, we need to strategise so that we will not lose this battle.

1) Place God as your commander
With God as our commander, as a soldier, we must obey His instruction. When He convicts us or commands us to follow His ways and not sin against Him, we must do likewise. When He tells us to imitate His way of fighting this battle, we must do the same. Believe that His power can win the battle for us.

'The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.'
Deuteronomy 6:24

2) Let faith take charge
With God as our commander, we do not need to fear, but if we start to doubt His capability in winning this battle for us, or His leadership skills, we will start to doubt and therefore bring down our faith. We need to let faith take charge and not doubt just by the devil's words. Do not doubt in God's capability or power, but always doubt in devil's words and power.

'Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.'
Matthew 21:21

3) Wear God's protective armor
Our strength may be not permit us to fight finish the battle. We need to wear the protective armor of God, so that His fire and power may spread around our body, protecting us when evil knocks at our door. With this armor, we may be able to gain strength from God and win this battle.

'Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.'
Ephesians 6:11-12

Fight the battle of our faith, courageously, having knowledge that God is victorious. Remember, our God never loses!

God has all power, but why?

by Thursday, November 25, 2010

The power that God has is bigger than we can imagine. It makes me sometimes wonder: He has all the power in His hands, but why did He chose to do things that does not really associate with His power? For all, He has a reason. In this post, I will identify the things that He can actually complete with His power but yet did not really use most of it, and why He did not use it.

-The hardened hearts
God could use His power to make the harden hearts of the people who chose not to accept Him, to turn to Him. Doing things like taking out their hearts and chopping stamps of ' I am a follower of Christ ' and place it back, their hearts would be virtually changed overnight. But why didn't He do that? Two reasons:

1) He wants to hear their decision
Yes, even though Jesus may have all the power to command the hardened hearts or change their thoughts, He does not to it because He wants to hear their decision. If He used His power to change their hearts, to me, I will regard it as forceful. God respects their decision, by not abusing His power but by sending us out as messengers of His word. He wants them to willingly agree to Him being their Lord and Saviour.

'What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways.'
Job 22:28

2) He wants to use His followers
As followers of Christ, we are used as a mouth to preach the gospel; a testimony that shines for the glory of God. Instead of using His power, God regards us as valuable, therefore He sends us out to preach to the hardened hearts, for them to be saved. And no matter how hard it may be, His presence is with us, aiding us to preach this gospel with boldness.

'Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'
Matthew 28:19-20

- The Church
Jesus can use all His power to make a church pop up on a bare land, and create as many clones to do His work, to act as a pastor of every church. He just needs to point at every land, and with His power, churches and clone pastors will be popping up from nowhere. Perhaps it would seem scary if every one metre you see a church a a clone pastor. So, why is it that Jesus rather not show off His power?

1) Jesus appoints them
It may be easy for God to make thousands, or even billions of clone pastors, full of anointment and holiness, but He looks out, and find His people worthy of His appointment, to become a pastor. Therefore, He wants to choose these people to answer this call, being responsible to build a church.

'So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,'
Ephesians 4:11

2) He chooses obedient seeds
Since these people are called to be pastors, God has instruction for them. Pastors are like the seeds of the church, and when they gather people as the members of the church, the members become the fruits. Of course, there are members which may not stay as fruits forever. They may be appointed by God to build another church and make fruits plant out from the plant, aka the church.

'Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.'
Acts 20:28

Sometimes we do not know why our God may work this way or the other, because our God is a mysterious God. There are some things that we will only understand when we get to our Father in heaven. Also, there are some ways in things that we can identify. Everyone is like a precious significant jewel to Him. Hence, always be ready and prepared to be used by God!

Dead to old; alive to new

by Thursday, November 11, 2010

'In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.'
Romans 6:11

Dead to sin but alive in Christ... This is the way we, as Christians, should be living. As we all start our Christian journey, there are some things we need to kick away and invite in to live as a true worshipper. Some of the old habits have to be thrown away, and the new must be brought in.

Firstly, these are the things we should throw away to lead a life worthy of His praise:

1) Kick of the old habits
Old habits die hard, but with God as your motivation, nothing is impossible. Strive to kick away the old habits, even like lying, as this is one of the commandment God gave you: do not lie. Do not let the old habits make you commit sin.

'For we knew that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.'
Romans 6:6

2) Abolish the old attitude
When we were not saved yet, our attitudes may be quick to anger, causing us to become a person with bad attitude, sometimes even losing precious things like our friends due to our attitude. Kick the old attitudes, and start living to become a person that God wants you to be.

'The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.'
Psalms 103:8

3) Get rid of worldly desires
Worldly desires and Godly desires cannot be associated together. If we do not get rid of them, we will start to be so affected to pursue these desires, for instance, money. But these will not last long. No one knows when God will take us away, and when that day comes, what would be our money, or even unhealthy relationship be valued? Nothing!

'Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul.'
1 Peter 2:11

Next up, is the things we should invite in for living holy as His followers..

1) Stir up a fire for Godly desires
When we start to stir a fire for Godly desires, we will put Him first in everything we do. No matter what people may say of us, or mock at us, we know that we are doing something that will please Him and its meaningful.

'It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,'
Titus 2:12

2) Bring in a new attitude
When we are still not saved yet, we may be identified as being angered easily, or being unforgiving. After we are saved, start to learn the attitude when you are faced in any situation, to be like Jesus. Do not retaliate at any circumstances, like when you are provoked, but trust in Him that He will work out for you a plan. Live like Him, being slow to anger, forgiving to others, etc.

'May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.'
Romans 15:5

3) Let God be the leader of your current life
Good leaders produce good members. Therefore, start to follow and imitate the way that Jesus lives. Be glad to be a member of Christ, for you know you will become good and righteous, even beginning to let other people follow your ways. Be a good disciple of Christ, and also, be a good leader for others.

'But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.'
2 Corinthians 2:14

Now, do not walk back to the old ways you have once lived, but start to equip yourself with things that are Godly, and be worthy of His love for you. Do not forget the day of your salvation, how you even dread of these old ways you lived in the past. Be dead to the old; alive to the new!

Let faith rise up!

by Monday, November 01, 2010
Faith is what we need
Faith is what we need...

Everybody has faith in something. From little toodlers, having faith in fairy tales, to maturity, having faith in completion in studies so as to have a bright future. But now, I wanna talk about this topic called Christianity

For me, I feel that being a Christian, its all about faith. Because I believe in a God who I can't see, Jesus, faith comes into the picture. Having faith that He wipes away my sin, to having faith that He is my Emmanuel, this all comes to the subject, faith.

I realise because faith is believing in things not seen (Hebrews 11:1), faith is hard to maintain and easy to lose. To maintain this faith, normally I read the word and keep praying to get myself closer to God. This are some of the verses that lifts up my faith.

1) He hears our problems
No matter what problems I am facing, I know that He hears it and finds a solution to my problems. I just need to cry out to Him all of my worries and burdens and believe in Him that through Christ, all problems shall be solved.

'In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into His ears.'
Psalms 18:6

2) He never leaves us
Always believing that Jesus is always by my side, I know that wherever I am, He will never leave or forsake me, whether at times I need Him or not. He is my Emmanuel.

'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'
Hebrews 13:5

3) He holds power in His name
No matter whether healing or fear, I believe that through Him, I will be granted free from illness and fears. At His rebuke, just like how He took away the disciples' fears, the same God can use His power to take away all my fears. With His presence I will be free.

'He replied ''you of little faith, why are you so afraid?'' Then he got up and rebuke the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.'
Matthew 8:26

And this is what I've realised over this week: everyone has certain standards of faith, and we cannot say that our faith is final and is the highest of all, for there is always space and growth for faith to rise up... Be a faith builder and let God work in your life. :)

Beat the high score; be a winner!

doodle jump
A game which I always play...

Living in a modern technologicalised world, games have been created to give entertainment to people. From mobile games to computer games, they are seen worldwide to those who own these assets.

Ever asked yourself why do you play games for? Some play just for the sake of entertainment, some because they had nothing better to do, and some, to get the feeling of being challenged to beat the high score. Some may even be addicted to playing games.

For me, I play games like doodle jump on my mobile because I find it addictive, and, most importantly, to beat the high score. Whenever I did not manage to beat the highs= score, I start to feel frustrated and keep trying to play just to beat the high score. I believe some of you reading this may share the same sentiment as me when playing addictive games.

Just as we play games, in our life, God has set for us games that are equally addictive and unshakeable: our life. Life is like a game, where there would be failures and successes. We would want to be successful in life and not keep failing. When we fail, we will be angered as we can’t accept the fact that we have fallen.

Living as a Christian, answering the calls He gives us are inevitable. Having calls like extending salvation knowledge to people, when we win, we win for Christ. When god asks us to live right, we are winning glory for Him. But we do not stay stagnant by just being satisfied at the state at we are living. We go the extra mile to beat our high score.

1) Glorify God with your life.
Living right as a Christian, at the sight of your friends, or even outsiders, you are becoming a testimony for Christ. When you become a testimony that all people see, people will start to draw near to God because of the different way you are living.

‘So that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.’
1 Thessalonians 4:12

2) The lost hearts
Even though Jesus ascended to heaven, He has sent us as a mouth to speak salvation to people. When we go for street evangelism, we do not only target to save 1 soul, but as many as possible. You may think that you will only talk to one stranger, but God wants you to break the high score you set, to get more souls to heaven. He will never forget the works you are doing for Him.

‘Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.’
1 Corinthians 9:19

3) The heavenly prize
Jesus has prepared a place for us in heaven. What other prize can be better than this? If you want to win this prize, you must work hard for it. So, then, work hard for the prize. And God has ample prize for those who deserves it.

‘I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.’
Philippians 3:14

4) Let God’s approval lead you
As Christians, having a circle of friends around us, they may sometimes be influential in leading us to the wrong path. Instead of being the leader of righteousness, they become the leaders of foolishness. Therefore, always ask Him for wisdom, to differentiate right and wrong influential people. Live in the perspective of God, not the people.

‘Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.’
Galatians 1:10

Be a winner in Christ so that you may glorify Him in everything you do. Let Christ strengthen you today, leading you to beat the high score you previously set for yourself. Let your life be a testimony of His goodness, being unbeaten always.

Follow the devil and you are a loser, for the devil always loses; follow Christ and be a winner, for He is victorious!

Pass on the torch

by Saturday, October 09, 2010

In sports games, like the recent Olympic games, there will be a significant event of passing the torch to mark the start of the event. Similarly, there is a torch that God passes on to us, to basically start a journey of our Christian life. One part is the sharing of the Gospel.

We, as the torch bearers, hold this torch that God has given to us, and He wants us to pass to the lost between us, and this torch is to be passed on to others, never ending. The fire contents are as follows:

1) Fire of God
Fire of God, i.e. Holy Spirit. The flame which you are carrying contains the Holy Spirit, when you preach the gospel and the Holy Spirit intercedes for you, and He is speaking through you. The Holy Spirit's conviction will come upon the lost, telling them that God is real.

'And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit'
Ephesians 1:13

2) Power of the word
The word is God, the words that guide you to live right as a Christian. It is the basic instructions before leaving earth (BIBLE). When you pass on the torch to them, you are telling them to copy you, just as you copy Christ's behavior.

'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.'
John 1:1

3) Light of the Gospel
The Gospel, i.e, good news, is a news that allows salvation to take place. The light of the gospel shines with power, so brightly that the people who hears this will exclaim that Jesus is Lord of all, because He is the one way to heaven.

'The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.'
Matthew 11:5

4) Light of your testimony
When you live right as a Christian, you are shining as a light for Christ. pass on your testimony to others so that all may follow His ways and pass on the right way of living to others.

'For in him you have been enriched in every way—in all your speaking and in all your knowledge— because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.'
1 Corinthians 1:5-6

Let the race be never ending till the time where we all go back to His kingdom. Lay hold of every person, young or old, leading them to get saved.

It is like a queue of trolleies, where you are the leader and as you connect some trollies on, people will start to follow suite, for they know this is the queue to place trollleies.

The key-part 3

by Friday, September 17, 2010
The key we should hold

key we should hold

Sometimes we may have a bunch of keys and some may be identical. So when we want to open the door using the key which we think is right, the door ends up not being opened. Similarly, the keys that God and the devil hold are for us to choose which one to unlock our heart with. If we choose the wrong key our lives may end up going to destruction. Therefore, choose wisely the keys which will make your life abundant, especially after you accept Jesus into your life.

1) The key to heaven
Only God holds the key to heaven, and He wants to invite you into His kingdom. This is the truth I believe in, that God is waiting to receive His creation in heaven.
‘Praise Him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.’
Psalms 148:4

2) The key to holiness
God asks us to be imitators of Him, and our actions will become Godly, because we are copying Him. Let your heart be unlocked to holiness, so that you may be a light that shines for God’s glory.
‘But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.’
1 Peter 1:15

3) The key to worship
Unlock your heart with joyful songs to praise God. Live your lives in right and Godly behavior, as this is call true worship. This is the key that God has given you, to let you become reunited to Him.
‘So, if you worship me, it will be all yours.’
Luke 4:7

Having all these keys, hold on tightly to them. Do not surrender your life to the devil, but surrender your live to a God who truly loves you.

Lock your heart when the devil appears; unlock your heart when God approaches; lock your heart to evil; unlock your heart to holiness :)

The Key-part 2

by Saturday, September 11, 2010
The key the devil holds

key devil hold

I believe whether you are in any religion or not, you believe there is a devil. If you are not a believer of Christ today, you may identify that you are committing wrong as you do not believe in a God, which will make the devil happy. These are the keys that you have let the devil unlocked your heart with.

1) The key of sin
Perhaps you are a free thinker and since you don’t believe there is a God, you will sin without caring that you are sinning against God. This is the key that the devil has placed inside your heart, the sinful nature.
‘In spite of all this, they kept on sinning; in spite of His wonders, they did not believe.’
Psalms 78:32

2) The key of separation
Every time you commit sin, it drifts you further away from God. This is the agenda that the devil wants to achieve through you, that he does not want you to be a child of God. You must understand at the point when you give your life to Jesus, it is the time the devil loses control over you and he loses.
‘But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.’
Isaiah 59:2

3) The key of death
John 3:16 states God’s death was not to let believers perish but have everlasting life in heaven. It also means every non-believer will perish with the devil in the burning furnace. You, therefore, are holding the key of death, of which the devil has unlocked your heart with.
‘The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is law.’
1 Corinthians 15:56

4) The key of foolishness
As you have the key of sin and you do not believe there is a God, I can say you are harboring foolish thoughts as there is a God watching your actions. You have the key of foolishness that has made you lose your sense of judgement to whatever is right or wrong.
‘I myself have seen a fool taking root, but suddenly his house was cursed.’
Job 5:3

So, are you still going to continue doing evil without knowing you have been blinded by sin? There is only one guaranteed straight way if you still continue to hold on to the keys the devil has given you: hell…

The key-part 1

The key God holds
Photobucket

A key is present with the door. Only when the door is locked can the key be of usage. Similarly, some of our hearts, at present, are locked, maybe because of our disbelief or through situations. The disbelief I am talking about is the disbelief of God. These are the key He holds:

1) The key of salvation
Because God sent His son to die for our sins, He allows us to have a relationship with Him. Holding the key, He unlocks our hardened hearts and let Himself into our lives.
‘I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.’
John 10:9

2) The key of breath
God unlocks every mother’s womb and make a creation, through childbirth. This is God, the one that creates every breath and life.
‘The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.’
Job 33:4

3) The key of power
God uses sickness to reveal His power, through unlocking every sickness and letting them be healed. Not only through the Bible may we see the healings He had done in the past, even now, through healing crusades, even through our prayers, may we see every illness being unlocked and being healed.
‘Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit.’
Psalms 147:5

4) The key of freedom
At the point when we start to believe Jesus and say the sinner’s prayer, our sins are washed away and we begin to be free from evil and the devil. This is the key that leads our lives to freedom, and only God has the key.
‘It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.’
Galatians 5:1

Since the freedom and love God has for us, the only decision we have to make is to unlock our heart and let God come and do the work. If you are not a believer of Jesus today and are reading this, I will encourage you to unlock your heart and let God in. you will never regret the decision you are going to make. As for Christians, I urge you to hold on to the keys that God has placed in your lives and continue to let the lost sheep hearts be unlocked… :)

Who's to be blamed?

by Saturday, August 28, 2010
Photobucket

When we accept Jesus into our life, our sins are washed away because of the Cross. Even so, there may be some times when we still sin, through telling lies or just by doing something wrong. But who is to be blamed for our sins?

Perhaps there may be a time when you are angry, because you have lost your love one, you may start to blame God for taking away your kin from you. At times, when you tell a lie, you blame the Devil for tempting you to sin, like Eve, who put the blame on the serpent.

Firstly, putting the blame on the devil is wrong as he is always the one who lies, which is why he is in the burning furnace. As the saying goes: liar, liar pants n fire. The devil only tempts and lies, but for the completion of the act, sin,, it has to be up to your decision.

Secondly, we should not put the blame on people when we do something wrong, because, again, they did not point a gun at you to commit it. Rather, they may be the ones who provoked you to do so. Therefore, you have to train yourself to act wisely. Always ask for the Holy Spirit’s conviction that you may act upon wisdom.

Thirdly, you blame God. For instance, you blame Him for your misfortunes, asking Him things like: ‘Hey God? Why didn’t you protect me from harm?’ or ‘why didn’t you protect me from sinning?’ It is as though He is yur empter, approving you of wrong things. Sadly, this is not the case. God is actually the one stopping you from sinnin against Him. As said in the model prayer: and lead me not into temptation, God is preventing you from doing wrong. You should thank Him from all the things that He is doing for you, as He cares for you.

We may treat a God as trash bag, pouring all our anger upon Him, but thank God that He is forgiving. Hence, when we sinned, take full responsibilities for our actions and come before our forgiving Father with repentance, so that we may continue to fear Him even as we live each day for Him.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion. Blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
Psalms 51:1-2

Let every dream of our Lord come true

by Friday, August 20, 2010
Photobucket

Even though God has all power in heaven, as said in the previous post,' Run! For the calling of God!' He places a calling in each and everyone of us. We know very well of the dreams He has: dreams for the lost, for our Generation, and for us alone.

'Everyday is the day of salvation,' we have been proclaiming this in churches, that everyone has the right to be saved. This is also God's dream, that He wants all lost to come into His kingdom, not into the pit.It was why He placed a call into us, to preach the Gospel.

Now the dreams for our Generation. As said in the bible:
'For it is God who works in you and to act according to His good purpose.’
Philippians 2:13

He wants our generation to lay hold of our purposes, to become imitators of Christ. Only through this can the world be turned to this Godly Generation, who is thirsty for the presence of the Lord, and wants to see Him glorified, one of which is through our actions.

Lastly is the dream for us alone. God does not want us to be deprived of happiness. Just as everyone has dreams, we must be selective of what dreams we want to go for. God dreams of us as a creation who will grow, a creation that will prosper, and one who stays happy and strengthened. Another verse of the Bible states:

‘ “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’
Jeremiah 29:11

We may all have dreams, but we must go for the dreams that God desires for our future, only then can our Lord be happy and His dream would be fulfilled on us: a joyous creation that runs for His call.

So then, let our people be the ones who fulfills God’s dream. Be the ones who glorify God with our whole life… God bless our Generation… :)

Get up after a fall

by Saturday, July 31, 2010

When we lose our balance,we tend to fall down. The next thing we will do is to get up on our feet. Even if our reaction is that slow we will still get up. Some may have injuries and after that the wound will be treated and slowly healed. This can actually be related to our relationship with God, when we fall from Him.

The first part is the action of falling. Like a physical fall, we will also fall away from Him, maybe when we drift away from God. At this point, our relationship with God will start to drift apart.

The second part is after the fall, where we may become injured. When we start to drift away, it means we deny His presence, leading to denial of help from Him. If we do this, when every problem comes our way, we will only have ourselves to rely on. This may lead to ourselves doing foolish actions, resulting in being hurt. We may even start to turn to drugs and sexual immorality, as we want to go against God's command, making Him enraged.

The third part is the healing of the wound, after being dressed up. When we start to realise God's presence is still in our lives, after the denial, we will ask for forgiveness and come back to Him. This will be the time where our relationship with God starts to come back and our wounds in between will be patched up.

Our relationship with God may go through ups and downs, But God still remains faithful to us. So then, come to God for strength, even after we drifted away, God will still be willing to strengthen us, letting our relationship with Him become stronger. Let His strength come upon us...

'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'
Phillipians 4:13

Run! For the calling of God!

by Thursday, July 29, 2010

When God calls us, there are two standard reactions: take it or leave it. Since God gave us a calling, why not go for it? But if you think you are personally struggling to accomplish your call, I just want to share with you three characters who ran and persevered when God called them.
The first person is Noah. When God told him that He was going to destroy the corruption and ordered Noah to build the ark, he did it without disbelief. People may come mocking at him, saying he is a fool, but he did not become affected by what people said. He even went to the extent to ask people to change their ways, but to no success. Because he ran for his call, God was pleased with Him.
‘Noah did everything just as God commanded him.’
Genesis 6:22

The second person is Paul. Previously named Saul, he persecuted churches and sent them in disperse. At this point, we may think his end result was going to be a death sentence, from God. But God thought of him as a person whom He could use for His glory. Hence He revealed His power to Saul and inserted a calling in him, not only a calling of an apostle, Saul, now called Paul, became a great leader and ran for his call, even being in chains.
'Bodly and without hindrance, he (Paul) preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ.'
Acts 28:31

The third person is Jesus. When His Father gave Him a call to come down to earth and die for our sins, He bodly ran for it as He saw our faces, one by one getting saved. Try putting yourself in the shoes of Jesus. Can you actually accept a call of suffering? Jesus perservered, and in reward, He got nations being multipiled and reigning forever.
'Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? "Father, save me from this hour?" No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!'
John 12:27

We may face persecutions during fulfillment of calls, but God do not expect us to be in chains or be hung on the cross. He has given us callings which is actually far more simple thn theirs. If you are personally struggling in your calls, look upon them and you will find your calls are actually so simple. If God uses you, thank Him that you can be of usefulness.

Here are just five ways which can make you stronger when running for your call:
1) Always remember when you fulfill this call, God is glorified, not you.
2) Read God's word for strength
3) Hear christian songs! In christian songs, the words are a source of
strength and a tool for your spirit to be in tune with Him.
4) Everytime before you are going to fulfill this call, pray for fears to be taken away, and for boldness. Pray also for no obstructions, because our God is victory!
5) Run! For the calling of God!

'Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.'
1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Unlimited

by Saturday, July 17, 2010

Jesus: unlimited goodness.... This is our God whom we worship. Knowing us from the inside out, He supplies us with everything. His glory is revealed through the worshippers, us.

1) His glory is unlimited
Through the worshippers, like through praise and worship, as we start to declare, through the songs we sing, we start to declare His glory, that He reigns forever. When we live for God, carrying the light of God, it also glorifies Him. An achievement in our studies is also a glorification to Him, as we start to lift our praises. Through Jesus death on the cross, when He rose the third day, it is a glorification as it is fulfilled for what He spoke, that He is the truth.
‘So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.’
1 Corinthians 10:31

2) Our supplier of unlimited freedom
We may sin frequently, but freedom allows us to have a close relationship with Him, not King and unworthy servant, but God, our Father, and His children, us. It is through Jesus that all breakthroughs will happen and all creation can dance for joy because we are free in the name of Jesus.
‘It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.’
Galatians 5:1

3) His achievements are unlimited
Even though God may have all power, but He does not use it to His advantage. By the act of sending His son, Jesus, down to earth, Jesus achieved things like overcoming the devil’s temptation and not misusing His power to kill the people that crucified Him. As for right now, in church, when the multitudes and salvations come, every belief is an achievement. Like when we set targets on the number of people we want to invite to church, or how many members we want to see actively coming, we may set 300 or 400 people, but God does not stop at the limit we set. He goes further to achieve greater unlimited things.
‘He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all- how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?’
Romans 8:32

4) His power is unlimited
Even though Jesus rose to heaven, He did not leave us like that. He send the Holy spirit down to us so that we can perform miracles through Him, His power. Like healing or speaking in tongues, or even prophesying, He gave us all this gifts, through His power, for our God is not a selfish God.
'He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
Mark 16:15-18

5) His love for us is unlimited
I just can’t express more about His great love for us… our God is a great God who send His son to die for us. He is a God who loves us so much, by even saving our unworthy generation.
'Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Let us just give continuous glory to our Father, who is limitless in everything... Our provider, that is a God whom we serve!!

Act of Surrender

Give all our lives to God, for He gave His life for us, heavily paid through that cross... Love you, Jesus...

Kick off that posion

by Monday, July 12, 2010

In our life, poison is always present. It can be analysed in three ways:

1)Poison in our body
Poison in the sense of toxic, which means illness. God promises us healing whenever we are sick, for He is our healer.
‘But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by His wounds we are healed.’
Isaiah 53:5
‘Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgements he pronounced.’
1 Chronicles 16:12
‘Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.’
James 5:14

2) Poison through our mouth
Poison in the sense of boasting and bad-mouthing. Wherever possible, pray for the Holy Spirit’s conviction that you will not turn prey to bad words.
‘Out of the same mouth come praising and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.’
James 2:10
‘As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil.’
James 4:16
‘Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts.’
Psalms 28:3

3) Poison through our actions
Poison in the sense of sin, where you sin because of your actions. It is because of sin that we are separated from God.
‘No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.’
1 Corinthians 10:13
‘Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.’
Romans 1:27
‘For the wages of sin is death.’
Romans 6:23

For all these poison, as long as you pray about it, regardless of whether you are healed or you repent, God will always be glorified. For you are a light that is shining for the glory of God. Be children of God who follow His way closely.

‘Now if we are children, then we are heirs -heirs and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may share in His glory.’
Romans 8:17

God of full goodness

by Saturday, June 26, 2010
'How great is our God' this worship song is so awesome mann!!! Just thinking about how great is Him.... Thought of an overview...

God of truth
-John 8:32
'You will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.'
:Our God is a God of truth. No deceit was found in His mouth. Therefore, he is the truth that let our whole life be set free.

God of righteous judgement
-Galatians 2:6
'God does not judge by external appearance.'
:For example, in worship, you may sound ugly when singing. But fret not, Jesus judges people from the heart, from the inside. Just like how He appointed apostles, it is not through how good looking they may be, but how their purity is presented to Him.

God of grace
-Ephesians 4:32
'Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgive you.'
:How much we may sin, Jesus is always ready to forgive us, for it is through His grace that we start to fear Him.

God of light
-Luke 2:32
'A light of revelation to the Gentiles.'
:You may be messed up in regards to your life, but God will be that light who brings you back to Him, back on the right track, just as How He did it for the Gentiles.

God of care
-Matthew 11:28
'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest,'
:We may feel emotionally or physically exhausted, but as the God of care, He allows us to come to Him, because He knows how we feel.

last and yet the most important of all....

God of love
-John 3:16
'For God so love the world that He gave His one and only son, so that whoever who believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.'
:This is the love of God that He expresses through sending His son to Earth to suffer for us. Even before we knew Him, He paid the price for us, just for our salvation.

God is so good! How great is our God!!! let the whole rejoice at His name....

Forgive or excuse

by Monday, June 21, 2010
I believe sometimes when we sinned,we do ask God for forgiveness. But sometimes the way we ask, it sounds as an excuse, maybe through our friends, we sinned or something.

Given an everyday life example. Perhaps you are parents and are quarreling over some common issues, maybe because of children. When we are all angry, I believe we will let anger rule over us and let God be forgotten. There, you start to shout and let out poison from your mouth.

Then, while praying and asking for forgiveness, some may state it like this: Jesus, forgive me for quarreling with my spouse today, becuase he is too demanding or something, and sorry for letting anger arouse... It appears like you are asking God for forgiveness, but in actual fact, you are using your spouse as a shield for your sin, which is a cover up, excuse. And I think this is totally worng.

Take for another example, the instant where Adanm and Eve sinned because of temptation from the serpent. They let greed rule over them and hence made the wrong choice. Now, when God walks to them and asked Adam and Eve how their eyes were opened, they blamed it on either party, which meant they thought they were not wrong at all. They wanted God to forgive them, for they did not sin on their own accord.

Its not that I want to talk about the past, its just that I feel Adam and Eve should not find excuses and push responsibilities to either party. Rather, they should have begged God for forgiveness. I feel if they had done that, history would change.

Since God created us, and we may sin, lets not find an excuse for ourselves that we are wrong, but go and repent and ask God for forgiveness, not including any names to our prayer. Of course, our God is a God of grace, and I believe no matter whether we may find excuses to cover up or did the latter, God will still forgive us. But it is better to just ask God for forgiveness instead of pushing the blame to someone else. As long as you repent, God will forgive you. So, treat others as how God treats you, with forgiveness, not an excuse to cover upon.

'Love your neighbour as yourself.'
Galatians 5:14

The guide of the light

by Thursday, June 10, 2010

'You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.'
Matthew 5:14

I believe some of us experencing things like when we dedicated or re-dedicated our lives to Jesus, He will place a passion, a godly one, into us, letting us go crazy over it and want to accomplish it as soon as we can. But don't you realise that after a while, like maybe a few weeks or months later, this passion of ours will start to slowly diminish?

Take for example, a passion for your generation, maybe sharing the word to our friends. There will be a time of the peak where we go bold and step out for this gospel, our generation which will rise. But as time goes by, maybe because of rejections faced and examinations, we start to neglect this passions? Or maybe because we left our church and the linkage between us and God starts to break apart and we drift away?

I want to share with you all today, that no matter whether your passions start to die or whether you are currently drifting away, the guide of the light, Jesus, will try, or rather, make sure you will get back to Him. Because you are the light that God wants to work upon, He will always stand by you. Even when you feel lonely, like when you are praying and you feel that you are talking to a block, the guide of the light will be with you, pulling you through every strom that may come and let it be calm.

So, not only let the guide of the light be in the presence of your life, be a light that will start to glorify God. Be like Jesus, be a light for your friends and family!

Here I am for you to use, Lord

by Saturday, June 05, 2010

'For it is God who works in you to will, and according to His good purpose.'
Philippians 2:13

Even as everyone has been saved, we jolly well know that God will put a call into our lives. Maybe it is for our family, our generation, or for the restricted nations. Even through serving, we are all committing to a God who will reward us in every good thing we do, like a Father patting his son's back, telling his son that he has done well.

God knows where we are, where we are proceeding to and what we are going to do beforehand. Putting total trust in a God who cares for our well-being, isn't this good? Since we know this fact and are putting our trust in Him, why not also declare that here we are for Him to use?

Through worship, service, or even going into prayer, let everything we are doing be of clarity to Him, that we want Him to use us. No matter how useless you may think you are, how small you think you may be; good news! God can make you bigger and wider than you think you are. He will make you feel useful till when you start doing His will, you will ask yourself, in the end, how can you accomplish this. Let strength start arising in all, let all start to look up to God, saying," here I am for you to use, Lord."

Generation on the soar

by Saturday, May 29, 2010

'Sing to the Lord, all the Earth; proclaim His salvation day after day.'
1 Chorincles 16:23

Through the act of Jesus coming down to earth to die for our sins, He proves His love for us. He know that His nations will multiply and reign forever. We know that our generation is one that must lay hold of our purposes in God, at the same time, bring some back to Him.

As our generation starts to multiply, more and more people going out to proclaim His salvation, let us be a generation that will rise:

A generation that will rise for God
A generation that will rise for His gospel
A generation that will rise for His lost sheep
A generation that will rise for His glory

We know very well that God created us for a purpose. How we have been saved, it is the same process as to how the others will be saved. Let us be a generation who will soar like eagles, going all out for our generation: be this generation on the soar!

'But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.'
Isaiah 40:31

Be a fan of God

by Saturday, May 15, 2010

A lot of times when we go out to food courts or to Macdonalds at midnight we will always see this group of people wearing their football jerseys, supporting and cheering for their favorite group. People are getting so uptight over their favorite groups.

Like when you support your favorite singer and when he holds a live concert around the whole world some may be so crazy over them till they start to create fan clubs and even go to the extent to buy air tickets and go to every country to support their favorite singer. I sometimes wonder: why is everyone getting so crazy over a person or a group? Has anyone ever said or declare they are a fan of God?

When you are really crazy over someone you will want to go wherever they went. It may be as close as watching television. Have you ever thought that being a fan of God can be as close as to Him being in your heart?

Some will ask: how do I go about being a fan of God? That's easy. Like how people seek their favorites, running all the way with them or actively creating and posting about them, you can be a fan by actively pursuing and seeking Him everyday, because He is always near you. Not like people, where you have to source for them where they will be holding their concert, being a fan of God, you just have to read the word and pray to Him. With this you can build a close relationship with Him and your faith will amazingly increase.

It is not only through a church where you declare to everybody that you are a fan of God. Even when you are in public or when with your friends you can declare through evangelizing with them your faith in the true God, because by the power of the Holy Spirit that all lost shall return to Him.

Instead of going crazy over people or football clubs, why not we proudly declare that we are going crazy for God? Bringing down all ungodly passions, lets start going crazy and all out to seek God. Be a fan of God!

'Look to the Lord and His strength;seek His face always.'
1 Chronicles 16:11

Acceptance to God

by Saturday, May 08, 2010

Hey there! Today I will be targeting on the non believers, because this is what I feel God is wanting to share with you all today. As for the Christians sorry about it because it is not on purpose that i want to neglect you.

If you have never heard about Christianity of about Jesus here's some good news for you: Jesus, the one who I am worshiping, I put my faith in Him because of His love for me. Who is like Him who is willing to sacrifice His son just for the sake of us? even though we did not knew Him at first, he himself knew that his nations will multiply and reign forever. So as the scripture says:

'For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.'
John 3:16

Maybe some of you, non Christians, are facing with a problem which you think cannot be solved, even though with the faith that you are believing. maybe you feel like giving up. But i tell you today, the invitation is opened to you, to accept a God who will never fail you, because He is the one in control.
In whatever circumstances you are in it will be solved, for He says:

'For nothing is impossible with God.'
Luke 1:37

This good news, about Jesus, will surely change your whole life of mess to a life of goodness and abundance. He has changed me, which is why i can testify to that, that is I am who I am today because of His unending love and grace. Now God is giving you a chance to accept Him. No matter what your past is like, he doesn't care so much, because through the act of nailing Himself on the cross, so that we will be saved. Because this is the truth:

'You will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.'
John 8:32

These questions for you today: are you willing to let the truth set you free forever? If you have never tried accepting God as your Lord and savior before, how can you reject his invitation to you? Are you willing to see your whole life changed and see the wonders He will do in your life? even encountering a real God? Don't reject this salvation anymore. salvation is here and He lives in me till today. Will you want this salvation to be in you as well? I hope you will accept God's invitation to you....

(Any questions in regards to this? Write in my cbox....)

The race of the word and faith

by Tuesday, May 04, 2010

‘The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.’
1 John 2:17

Hey! Everyday we may be reading the word. But have you ever asked yourselves if your actions have been of favor to our Father? Ever since desires are perished and whatever evil doing is gone, it is all left with godly passions. Will our faith come to naught? Will our stand for God be forever? Have you ever ponder over these questions?

We know very well that as long as we do things that are pleasing to our Father’s eyes, we are obeying his commandment and hence gain our ultimate reward, eternal life with him. Have we ever tried to change the world with the power of the word? Even desires passed away can change us. Will we ever be able to change this world to a godly world full of passion and fire for God?

We live by faith not by sight, commonly mentioned in our lives. At the very end of our life, will we be contented that we have kept our faith and walked with God favorably? Think about it and may God’s presence be with you…

‘I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.’
2 Timothy 4:7

Expressing God's love to others

by Friday, April 30, 2010

‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.’
Leviticus 19:18

Just like how God loves us by dying on the cross for our sins, he proves his love for us. Since he has risen from the dead, he commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves. But how do we go about it?

God is not expecting us to send ourselves as a sacrifice on the cross or be like Abraham, sending his son as a sacrifice because of God’s test of faith to him. What he wants us to do is to express our love for others like how he expressed his love for us, maybe just through an act of concern or through our help towards them.

We loved because he showed his love to us. Now is the time that we start to show the same love that God has shown to us. Even if our love does not gain appreciation or thanksgiving from others, we know that we have obeyed God’s commandment and will find favor in his eyes. He will award us each to our obedience to him.

Let our love endure forever! Just as how God’s love endures forever for us!

‘We know that we have come to him if we obey His commands.’
1 John 2:3

I will surrender

by Saturday, April 24, 2010

The salvation giver
The creator of life
That all start to worship you alone

The king above all kings
The power of your great throne
Your authority shines blazing bright

(The splendor of your great love
The love poured around us
Through the cross of the Calvary

The power of your great name
The wonderful and mighty
All start to bow down and worship you)

I find myself in your comfort embrace
I won’t leave you
But surrender my breath, my life
In everything I do
Let my whole life be of favor to your eyes

I will surrender
To give you all my life
I will surrender
To give you all my praise
I will surrender
Because you sacrificed your life for me
So that I can live for you

The worthy lamb
The throne of grace
That is so glorious
So powerful

Let all nations sing loud
Let all nations declare
Surrender all to God

(The holy one
The anointed one
My Jesus king)

Be bold for the gospel

by Thursday, April 22, 2010

‘I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.
Romans 1:16

No matter how much rejection we face when the gospel is preached to our friends, I always emphasis that God is with us and will never leave us. The power and the yearning for the lost out there is huge. No one could be more eager than God to get His children back to him.

Sometimes when our friends do not want to believe in the salvation, maybe because of their belief for other things, do not give up, but speak bold of the word, as we have been set free by the truth. Our friends, one day, will come to realize that our belief is true.

Christians, have we ever asked ourselves why we put our faith in God? Maybe for some it is because of our family background. But if we set aside our family, do we find the reason why we accepted Christ? For me, initially I became a Christian when I was very young, when my parents brought me to Sunday school to know about Christianity. Being young and innocent at that age, I believed in God because my parents believed.

After my parents left church, I also left church with them. It was after that that my faith decreased a lot because I did not seek God, or rather, I did not know how to do it. It was after a few years where I was invited to a youth ministry outreach and I rededicated my life to God. I can frankly tell you that I felt my life was in great mess before I rededicated. Maybe I could be identified as a child of the devil.

After so much has happened and after my rededication, I became changed by the Lord and started to walk in His ways. I realized that I put my faith in God because there is no God who accepts us as who we are, died on the cross of Calvary even though we did not know him yet. I gave myself and God a chance to know Him better, and true enough, I do not regret my decision till today as I saw His work upon me. So I can say that I am who I am today because of Him.

Maybe some who are reading this now may find this too long. It all comes with this summary: God loves you and He wants to accept you. Through this testimony of mine, I am not boasting to how great my faith is, but I hope that this testimony can let all gain strength and really go for God in the gospel. May God be with you always.

‘And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.’
Philippians 4:19

His love for us

by Monday, April 12, 2010

‘For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’
John 3:16

I believe that whether you are a Christian or not you should have heard of this verse. If not, you may know what this verse suggest to you, that God gave His son, Jesus, so that we may have everlasting life with Him.

Who is like this God, who is willing to sacrifice His son just for us not to be perishable? God loves His creation, and he would not want us to be in that eternal fire, even though He created it. Like what the bible stated, the terrible death he faced when on the cross, it guaranteed his love for us. If God did not die for us, how did He prove His love for us? The answer is through the gift of the Holy Spirit.

His love endures forever! Its His unending love that allows us to show the same love to everyone around us. Have ove for others just as how God showed His love for you.

'For great is His love toward us and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!.'
Psalm 117:2

How Great Is Your Name

by Thursday, April 08, 2010

I see the weak gaining strength
From their feeble arms and legs
Giving glory to God

I hear the shouts of praises coming from the weak
Let the weak say I am strong

(I see the poor getting up
From the begging of that street
Exclaiming God has saved them

I hear the voices of the poor
All their desperation calls
Let the poor say I am rich)

Your holy name's so powerful in all the earth
Let all people see the strength you have provide

You're my strength, my shepherd
My savior, my king
Let your name be glorified

There is no ending
No ending
No ending to your love
No ending to your pow'r

There is no ending
To the glory you have shine in all the earth
Let all people rejoice

How great is your name
How great is your name
That's why we will sing
Hosanna to our majesty

(Hosanna to our God on high)

God's glorified!

by Monday, April 05, 2010

Thank God for letting I go for 3rd April healing crusade organized by victory family centre. When I went there, I came on the thought that I will see how God is going to use His people to glorify Him. Really, I finally saw Him being glorified through healing upon His people. Last time it was purely on living by faith as I did not see the works that He is doing. Now that I see this happening, I can say that my faith is brought to a higher level.

His name is so powerful. Through His healing, in the name of the almighty, people got healed. There is a song lyrics: and now, let the weak say I am strong… I really saw people giving praise and thanking God for all these healing.

Like when I saw a scence of pastor roy praying for a deaf and mute girl, when she opened her mouth to speak, my heart was really at joy. I felt happy for the girl as well as for His people as God’s glory was shown, lit up.

Really, start believing in God, for I see and testify to God’s glory being lifted up.....

Life through the Son

by Thursday, April 01, 2010

Through the death that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins, it meant as salvation for us. You see, who is like our God, who is willing to send His son as a sacrifice for our sins? Its because He loved us, just as much as he loves Jesus.

The bible states that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16), and that you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free (John8:32). By these scriptures we know that God is giving everyone a chance to receive this salvation, even for our friends and rerlatives, for He loves His creation, even though we are so unworthy.

Through Jesus, life is given to us, for by faith we believe that He is the only way to heaven. If not because of His finished work on the Cross, where would we be today? we will only be living in sin, paralysed by that as it is only through the Son of Man that we will have life.

I think that everyone should not be ashamed when we share the gospel. just like how we received our salvation, it is also through people that shared with us this salvation giver.

Therefore, brace up and start to be courageous! For the Lord's hands is upon you. Life is only through the Son, because He is the only way.

'He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.'
1 John 5:12

Power in your name

by Monday, March 29, 2010

A thought just flowed from my mind:

O sovereign Lord,
From the beginning you created all things at your command.
From the creation of day to the creation of man,
All these I see at present and will have faith to believe that you are my creator.
With just a sentence, in your name,
All things were just right.

O, how much power is there in your name!
From the time you sent your son to earth, till He was glorified and now sits on your throne,
You give us the authority to preach boldly,
Gave others the baptism of your fire and holiness,
Gave others authority to heal.
For all these shall accompany us since we are believers of Christ.

‘In the name of Jesus.’
O, how powerful is your name.
For healing and rebuking the evil spirits,
I am convinced now,
That there is power in your name.
This power, from heaven above,
Shaking the heavens and the Earth,
People will start trembling at your name.
For there is power in your name!

‘O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!’
Psalms 8:1

Pray for the persecuted

by Saturday, March 27, 2010

'Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.'
Matthew 5: 11-12

'No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loves us.
Romans 8:37

'So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful creator and continue to do good.'
1 Peter 4:19

The end times

by Thursday, March 25, 2010

'Woe to you who long for the day of the Lord! Why do you long for the day of the Lord? That day will be darkness, not light.'
Amos 5:18-19

As the verse suggested,do not live in longing for judgement. But live for your generation. Of course, being conscious that the day of the Lord is coming.

Do not be alarmed when the day of the Lord comes. At that time the Son of Man will come in a cloud with great glory and power (Luke 21:27). Scences of people shouting away in different languages, fearing of the non- believers, even the unware party. These people will start running in distress, having no head of direction.

But as for us believers, who are aware of the day, start to praise God, for our reward is drawing near. Start shouting:
'Hallelujah! our Lord has come to redeem us!'

we will start seeing how God is going to end His creation.

'No one knows the day or the hour.'
Mark 13:32

Therefore, live as though everyday is going to be your last, trying your very best to bring people back to Christ.

His mercy is boundless

by Tuesday, March 16, 2010

‘Let the wicked forsake his ways and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.’
Isaiah 55:7

No matter how much sin we have committed in the past, all the unworthiness, let it all be cast aside by what God said to us, that He will have mercy on us. Maybe our past is disgraceful, but remembers that we have forsaken our ways and evil thoughts, and turned to the Lord for our righteous ways. No human mind can comprehend of how much His mercy and forgiveness to us are, as His love is boundless, unlimited always.

Right now, let our ways be favorable to our Lord’s eyes, making Him pleased with our ways. Even if you are not a Christian and are reading this now, I tell you right now, to give this chance to the Lord, for He wants to receive you. What you have to do is to get your hearts opened and see His wonders worked in you. Perhaps the reason you do not want to accept now is because you do not know what changes you will really go through. If you do not even want to give this a try, how do you know what God is going to do inside you?

As for all Christians trying to get your friends and relatives know of this salvation, I hope you will get strength from knowing that our God will never forsake us. Just as we see this urgency to save our friends from that torturous pit, we have to firstly be a light that lives out the testimony of God. Only then will our friends’ hearts be opened because of the things we’d done.

Always remember that God’s mercy is there for us. It’s all because of Him that we started living the way that pleases Him. Just like how much mercy and love He has showered upon us, we will start feeling the change of our attitude towards our friends because of the testimony we are imitating, that is Jesus Christ our Lord.

See the light after darkness

by Wednesday, March 10, 2010

I think most of us, Christians, before we had God in our life; we lived in darkness because we did not know what salvation was. Maybe sometimes we did not feel loved or we did not know what our purpose in life was.

After we became Christians and we received God’s love upon our life, didn’t our life turn to life? I believed most of us would want our friends to receive the same light that we had. But most of the time its hard for us let our friends know about this salvation because of fear.

What God told to us was this:
‘For you were once in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.’
Ephesians 5:33

Live, then, as the way God wants us to live in. many darkness parts of your life can be through the test of faith. Maybe sometimes when we don’t pass the test of faith we may feel like giving up on God. I was once like that. But God used someone to give me encouragement with this sentence: you will see a light after a tunnel. This made me feel that I should not give up on Him and especially my friends.

Maybe we feel that the darkest parts of our life are too hard to bear. I hope that you will have comfort and not give up of the knowledge you are receiving now, that God is assuring you: never will I live you, never will I forsake you.

This is the same concept where you want to switch on the room of your light. There will always be light after darkness. Relate this theory to your darkest parts of your life and I pray that you will start gaining strength that a light will always the reward you receive.

Lets all rejoice in the Lord always (Philippians 4:4). For His light is always leading us, till eternity.....

His smile never fades

by Thursday, February 25, 2010

Whenever you sinned, His smile is always there, forgiving you of your sins.

Whenever you feel angry, His smile burns away your anger.

Whenever you are happy, He smiles with you.

Whenever you run away from Him, He pursues you and approaches you with a smile, longing for you to come back.

Whenever you think you are a failure,His smile picks you up.

Whenever you failed Him, His smile brings you back.

Whenever you feel unworthy, He comforts you with a smile.

Whatever the emotion of yours, smile and be glad! For His smile never fades! :)

Easier said than done

by Thursday, February 18, 2010

Are there sometimes when you said something which you thought was easy to do yet when you wanted to do you found it difficult?

When you agreed with yourself that you are going to save someone today but when you wanted to do it you found it hard?

When you said that you love the Lord with all your heart, your soul, and mind, but inside your heart are all the Godly passions and desires?

Just like the story of Jesus telling a man to sell off his possessions and then follow Him. After we read this story we may think that we can also do it. But in actual fact when you are in the same situation, will you really do it? Will you really sell off all your possessions and follow Jesus?

Of course, I believe that everyone has something that we feel it’s easier said than done. Just like when you are in that situation of that man. If you put yourself in the situation of Jesus, dying on the cross for our sins, how much courage it took Him to agree with His Father’s decision, just for the sake of us?

So, take courage in the things that is easier said than done....

Give thanks to all

by Monday, February 08, 2010

At the point of prayer normally we use the format of the model prayer (Matthew 6:9-13), whereby we thank Him for His mercy and unconditional love, and His forgiveness to our sins. But ask yourselves, when is the last time you thanked God for your:

Pastors
Net Leaders
Friends who have helped you

Most important of all, thanking God for Himself? Think about this: God is the creator of salvation, mercy, and love. What more shouldn’t we thank our designer of all this, who has let us live in abundance? As for our pastors, net leaders, and our friends, they have always been there for us whenever we needed help. They are the ones who have helped us with our spiritual walk with God. All the more we should thank God for the presence of them to be in our lives.

Ever thought if you were a pastor or a net leader and that day isn’t your day? Maybe you just had a quarrel with your family but you still have to present to your members the warm smile, although your heart doesn’t feel that way? Always keep your pastors and net leaders in prayer so that they may gain strength even when that day isn’t their day to preach.

As for God,’ thank God for God!’ Although it feels weird for me to put it this way, but really thank God for God! Thank Him for all the wonderful creation He has done. Even the scripture says that:

‘Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.’
Colossians 1:12

Another verse, which I like, says:

‘Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.’
Psalms 118:1

You are my answer

by Friday, February 05, 2010

‘You will pray to Him, and He will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows.’
Job 22:27

Are there sometimes when you ask God for a prayer to be answered and He did not answer your prayer? There are three reasons leading to this:

The prayer is meant as a curse for someone.
The prayer is meant for your death, maybe you asked God that you want to die faster.
God is testing your faith.

With regards to the first two reasons, God will never answer this kind of prayer because it is posted as a negative impact with response to your life. As for the third reason, it is because God wants to build up your patience. It is always said that when there is faith, it will be tested.

Maybe we may encounter things like frustration when our prayer is not answered, or if it took to long for the prayer to be fulfilled. But God says:

‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened to you.’
Matthew 7:7-8

Through this verse, it is clearly seen that no matter what things you ask for, as long as it is of good intention, it shall be answered. Yes, it may take long, but most importantly, it will be answered.

Take for example, a prayer of resolving family problems. It may take long for the problem to be resolved and people who lack patience may start questioning God why the family was not worked on. They may start saying things like ‘you are God what! Why aren’t you doing immediate healing upon my family?’ But the most important thing that you must understand is that God cares for you!

For me, I am currently praying for the salvation of my friends. There was one period where I wanted to give up totally on them because I felt that they were impossible situations. With the fear of rejection I kept receiving, I felt scared and did not know what to do with them. But God lifted me up by His hand and encouraged me not to give up as their salvation is dependant on me. He gave me a burning passion for them and assured me that everything will be fine. I thank God for this as I have seen some of my friends being saved. ‘Everyone will come to know that I am God,’ I believe this was what God is telling me.

I just want to tell all not to give up on God. He has a reason to make you wait for the answer. Just like what the scripture says:

‘Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for that is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

People, don’t give up! Pull through all the way, for God cares for you, provides for you. He is your answer to every prayer and problems. May His presence be filled in your heart. God bless!

God is my refuge even when I am in doubt

by Thursday, February 04, 2010

Sometimes we do ask God these questions:

Where are you when we are being persecuted?
Where are you when my family is facing problems?
Why am I unable to sense your presence?
Why were you not with me when I needed you?

I can say that I sometimes do question God like this. I do really long for His presence to be with me in times of trouble. Sometimes when the reply does not come back I may start feeling frustrated. Most of the time I am conscious that it may be the test of faith, although I know that I should not doubt His presence.

Sometimes when I doubted I do really feel apologetic towards God. Through the bible I knew that His presence was with me. Why did I doubt?

Every time when I try to stop myself from doubting, this verse always reminds me not to doubt and it gives me strength:

‘The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you’
Deuteronomy 31:8

Even if the bible was not with me, I knew that He will be my refuge. It is like God speaking to my ear, ‘Do not worry, my child. I shall be with you till then end. It shall be everlasting and forever blissful.’

I thank God for letting me know Him, actively pursue me even when I drifted away in the past. I am glad that I can find my source of strength, which will never forsake me, the refuge I shall find in times of trials and enjoyment. And it is the Lord Himself, who reigns forever!

Not to be served but to serve

by Wednesday, February 03, 2010

As we know, Jesus came down from heaven to earth to die for our sins. As though He have sinned greatly, He suffered on the cross. Before His death, He came to serve the people, through healing and the preaching of the word.

Think about this: God could have sent His son to be served by the people. Why did He not do it? The reason is simple. He came not to be served but to serve.

God could have simply opened the doors of all the lost hearts and make them accept Him. but He did not do this because He wants us to be a part of servicing, playing our part in saving the lost. Which is why the scripture says:

'Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation'
Mark 16:15

Like when we are part of the ministry, or if we are serving as a net leader,we should have the attitude to serve the people wholeheartedly. Just like how Jesus served His people without reluctantcy, same goes for our attitude towards servicing.

So, be honoured and rejoice when you get to play a part in the service of God! may God be with you in all aspects of your life!

Let it go

by Saturday, January 30, 2010

As people want to become Christians what they will think about first is whether to give up on the ungodly desires. Like tarot cards or fortune telling, these are the lies of the devil. But if you do not let it go, how can you be a devoted Christian?

Maybe we may think it is hard to give up on these desires, like your long undying passion. But think first, Jesus let it all go by dying on the cross. His finished work on the crosws is all for our salvation and for our ungodly passions to die out so that we may become imitators of Him.

Yes, it is very hard to put God first, especially when you first start off to become a follower of Christ. Then how can you be fit to say that you love Him with all your heart, soul , and mind?

The very first thing you must tackle is the lies of the devil. Always pray for discernment so that you may be able to differentiate between good and bad, godly and ungodly.

'Take up your cross daily, and follow Jesus.' Luke 9:23

The compensation

by Friday, January 22, 2010

This is a story about a girl who is suffering from brain damage....her name is Susan..........

Susan is an unfortunate girl as her mother gave birth to her too late. being in her stomach for too long, Susan suffered from lack of oxygen, ending her up with brain damage. you can see the features of her head, it looks deformed.

At the age of five her parents passed away, due to an accident, leaving her all alone with her pet cat. when she know the news about her parents death, she weeped and weeped for days. No one can stop her. Before her mother died, she said her last words to Susan, saying' I want you top be somebody.'

Being a girl who was not preety because of her features, Susan was despised and bullied in school. As Susan grows up someone discovered her that she had a beautiful voice. She was made to go for a singing competition. as she did not have enough money to buy clothes before she went for the competition, she went to a clothes shop and used all the money she have to buy a dress that fitted her.

Before the competition there were people who offered to style her up. she did not feel that she need to change anything so she said to them,' can't you just leave me alone?' People started despising her by saying she look old-fashioned.

When she went for the competition the judges muttered to themselves that she was simply dressed. they had the impression that she would not sing better. full of her confidence, Susan sang aloud and made the whole congregation impressed with her.

when she was crowned first, she weeped and said,' i have done my mother proud! i finally did my best and i really thank God for this talent he has given me.'

Through this story, we can see that God actually did not forsake us. sometimes the sick or disabled may think that they are being abandoned or they are not perfect. but God created them like that for a purpose. no matter how people may despise them, God does not abandon them but compesate them through the ability of learning things fast and through the various talents they may have.

Be strong! for God is always with us....
