Really an imitator of Christ?

Really an IMITATOR of Christ?? Test this out!!

Read 1st Corinthians 13:4-8
'Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.'

After reading the above, substitute the underlined words with Jesus.

'Jesus is patient... Jesus never fails...'

After reading the above, once again, substitute Jesus with your name...

Are you able to say it confidently??

That you are always patient, kind, and never failing??

Well, for me, when I substitute these underlined words with Jesus, it just comes out so confidently, because I can agree that Jesus is really patient, kind, and never failing. However, when I substitute it with my name, I can't really agree with this:

I may be patient, but not everytime..
I may be kind, but not always..
I may be envious sometimes..
I may be rude and angered easily..
I may sometimes fail people..

Therefore, always use these verses as a self imporvement to yourself, when at the brink of your death, not only will you be able to say:

'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.'
2 Timothy 4:7

You will also be able to say these verses confidently with your name, because you know that you are doing your best to imitate Christ!! Maybe not really perfect, but be moulded into Christ-likeness, trying your very best to be holy...
