This is a worship song that I always like to hear...

Sometimes, when I sinned, I started to look upon myself as an unworthy child, one who does not deserve God to use me. Hypocritical, I would deem myself. An ongoing process of sinning and God's grace. Then I started to question God: Father, you created the whole world, and all that is in it. Why, then, would you use an unworthy child like me? Even if I could not be of use to you, you still have the whole world, except me alone. Recently, I reflected on the reasons why we should not reject God's usuage of us.

1) We are nothing without God
The creator of us all:God. He is the one with authority, giving each of us the breath of life, a unique being. Who can we surrender to, except our creator? If Jesus was not the one who create us, where can we have a place standing on this Earth, serving Him? We, as human beings, are created by Him, therefore our life belongs to Him!

'Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were brought at a price.'
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

2) He forgave our sin
What would we be without God? Some of you reading this today, until now, are still so reluctant to accept Christ. What is holding you back? Do you know that without God's forgiveness, you are still a sinner, till today? Some of you may comment that God has the authority to forgive sins, by just saying it out. But people, He did not just say it with His mouth that He is going to forgive us of every sin. He used His action, by dying on the cross for our sin. I wonder, what would become of me if I did not accept Jesus? Maybe a good for nothing. Because God wants us to feel significant that He truly desires to use us, therefore He forgave all our sins. He forgave me yesterday, today, and even in future.

'But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!'
Romans 5:15

3) We will become stagnant
Who will still use us if we reject God's usuage? Maybe the devil, but on bad intentions, maybe for the destroyal of your life. Only Jesus will use our life on good purpose. The time when we reject God's usuage is the time when no one use we. Hence we will become stagnant, with nothing to live for, nothing to live on. It will be the time when we feel worthless. But at the point of time when we start to willingly surrender to Him, He will start to use us in a great way.

'They rejected his decrees and the covenant he had made with their ancestors and the statutes he had warned them to keep. They followed worthless idols and themselves became worthless. They imitated the nations around them although the Lord had ordered them, “Do not do as they do.”
2 Kings 17:15

Then this question starts to pop up: how do I surrender to Jesus?

1) Belief is surrender
When you start to believe in Jesus, saying the salvation prayer, your belief is an act of surrender to Him. Even at times of trouble or tribulation, when you start to cry out to Jesus and pray to Him, you are surrendering to Him, for you know that this is a God whom you can put your trust in.

'But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as first fruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.'
2 Thessalonians 2:13

2) Obedience is surrender
Obeying God is the same as surrendering because you are pleasing Him. In whatever things that you do, when you listen to what He commands you, you are giving your life to Godly purposes that God has installed for your life.

'Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him.'
Deuteronomy 8:6

3) Submission is surrender
When you submit to your leader, you will obey his instructions. Similarly, when you submit to God, you are offering your service to Him, believing that He is worthy to be served. Submit to Him as an act of surrender, and be willing to be used by Him.

'Do not be stiff-necked, as your ancestors were; submit to the Lord. Come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever. Serve the Lord your God, so that his fierce anger will turn away from you.'
2 Chronicles 30:8

My Case:
For me, I chose to surrender my life to Jesus because I believe He is worthy. Even though I drifted once because of ungodly behavior, I found out that He would still be willing to forgive me. I may sometimes think: will God forgive me after all that I had done? But I realised this:

If I treat God as a human, I may not expect total forgiveness from Him. But when I treat God as God, I should ask with repentance, believing that He will totally forgive me.

If I treat God as a person, I would not need to expect Him to use me in any great way. But when I treat God as God, I should expect Him to use me in a greater way that I will never expect of myself.

Therefore, I surrendered to Jesus once again, while He starts to instill in me a greater passion and fire for Him. Readers, today, if you can identify yourself as the situation I once had, let me assure you this: God will surely forgive you, and He never fails! So, stop feeling unworthy or guilty of sin, for when you start to have faith that Jesus will forgive you, He definitely will!

Note to unbelievers:
Now, God is offering this invitation to you, to accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior. If you wish to accept Jesus today, then say this prayer and mean it in your heart. God will hear you and grant you immediate acceptance.

Jesus, today, I know that I need you, and I want you in my life. Will you forgive me of all my sins, wipe my past away, make me a new person. Lord Jesus I believe, you are the Son of God. You died for me, and you rose again, and today, you are living in me. I thank you for all that you have done in my life. Today, I surrender my life to you. Take my life for you to use, Lord. Thank you Jesus for saving me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Note to Christians:
No one is perfect. But as Christians ourselves, God has given us a commandment, that is to live each day being holy. Once again, continue to surrender to Jesus and keep having your spirit and desire for Him be renewed.

Lord Jesus, I thank you for my salvation, and I pray that you will continue to use me in a great way. Continue to strengthen me as I continue to seek after you and do your work. I thank you, for even when I am not worthy, you picked me and love me. I pray I will continue to be willing to be used by you. Continue to let me be a holy being, surrendering my all to you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

( Said either one of the prayer? Or have any thoughts about this post? Then feel free to leave a comment on my chatbox to let me know. May God's abundant blessing continue to overflow in your life. God bless! )
