Kick off that posion
In our life, poison is always present. It can be analysed in three ways:
1)Poison in our body
Poison in the sense of toxic, which means illness. God promises us healing whenever we are sick, for He is our healer.
‘But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by His wounds we are healed.’
‘Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgements he pronounced.’
1 Chronicles 16:12
‘Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.’
2) Poison through our mouth
Poison in the sense of boasting and bad-mouthing. Wherever possible, pray for the Holy Spirit’s conviction that you will not turn prey to bad words.
‘Out of the same mouth come praising and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.’
‘As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil.’
‘Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts.’
3) Poison through our actions
Poison in the sense of sin, where you sin because of your actions. It is because of sin that we are separated from God.
‘No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.’
1 Corinthians 10:13
‘Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.’
‘For the wages of sin is death.’
For all these poison, as long as you pray about it, regardless of whether you are healed or you repent, God will always be glorified. For you are a light that is shining for the glory of God. Be children of God who follow His way closely.
‘Now if we are children, then we are heirs -heirs and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may share in His glory.’
