As we live each day we should know that God is living in us. no matter whether we are suffering or whether we need help He will always be there for us. sometimes as Christians we face persecution, whether verbally or physically, it is all because we stood by God.
Whenever we are persecuted by our friends, like when our friends question about our faith or even make stupid remarks, by human nature we do feel dejected or depressed. But one of the most important things we must remember is that God will never ababdon us, and stand by us till the end, carrying us by His hand. this is of reference to the story of footprints, whereby it says' my precious child, I will never leave you. at the point of time where you only see one set of footprints, it was thenIi carried you.'
Even in the past where water baptism is for people to publicly declare that they believe in Christ, they may be put to death. just like stephen in the bible,he stood up for God but was later stoned to death, all these acts of fith were for one cause: the ultimate reward in heaven,
Maybe as we suffer as Christians,be it persecution or other forms,we may feel that God is not among us. we may feel abandonand start to lose the battle. bur remember that the ultimate victory is God, who is more than conquerous. even that is what the scripture telling us:
'Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. but rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you will be overjoyed when his glorly is revealed.'
1 Peter 4:12-13
Remain faithful to God for whatever trials you are suffering, for if we endure, we will also reign with Him (2 Timothy 2:12).
